The Locanda Cà Le Vele is on the first floor of a charming and typically Venetian building, dating from 1600 and characterized by high ceilings with exposed beams, and imposing stone balconies. The hotel, completely restored in 2009, is only a short distance from the famous Cà D’oro Museum. It opens onto Calle de le Vele, a street where in times past the “vele” (sails) were made for the famous Venetian sailing ships which carried merchants across the sea at the time of the great Venetian Republic.
The hotel is only 5 minutes’ walk from the Rialto Bridge and 10 minutes from St. Mark’s Square and the main cultural and artistic sights of Venice. The Locanda, which has a welcoming, family atmosphere, is run by two brothers, Ivan and Massimiliano, who make every effort to give their guests a pleasant and memorable holiday.
The fully-trained staff at reception can give you all the information and advice you need about how to make the most of your stay in Venice. They will also organize, on request, trips to the islands and into the lagoon, romantic rides in a gondola, or guided tours of the city. Our wonderful service and comfort, combined with history, art, and culture, are sure to make your stay truly unforgettable.
The Locanda offers both elegant rooms and some suites, all furnished in the typical Venetian style, with beautiful damask upholstery. The warm, welcoming atmosphere, with exposed beams, Venetian floors, fine marble features, and Murano glass lamps gives you the feeling of living in the past. However, ever room is, of course, provided with all modern comforts.
The services included are: free Wi-Fi internet, private bathroom, flat screen tv, air- conditioning/heating, safe and mini-bar.
